What is MAP fertilizer?
MAP (Monoammonium Phosphate) is produced by mixing 1: 1 ratio of Ammonia – NH3 and Phosphoric Acid – H3PO4, the paste produced after hardening will be pulverized into fine powder. The advantage of this method is that it can use low quality, low purity phosphoric acid, which reduces the cost of travel a lot. The content of N (Nitrogen) and P2O5 depends on the purity of the acid used in the production. Ammonium nitrate reduces losses and slows down the decomposition process

The granular MAP is usually applied at a concentration just below the soil surface, around the growing root zone (about 5 cm from the seed). It is also sprinkled on the field and mixed with soil on the surface.
