Application in Agriculture:
As well all know, Nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium are the three primary nutrients very important to plant health. They are called Macronutrients, short for N, P and K.

Ammonium Sulphate (N 20.5% min) is mainly used as nitrogen and sulfur fertilizer. It usually appears in granular type. They are applied dry and must be watered in. Granular fertilizers are easier to control because you can actually see how much fertilizer you’re using and where it’s being dispersed. They’re often applied by hand or mechanical spreaders.
Ammonium Sulphate is more stable than ammonium nitrate and ammonium carbonate. In the nitrogen fertilizers, ammonium sulfate has the most acidifying effect on the soil. The ammonium ion is released and forms a small amount to lower the PH of the soil and contribute essential nitrogen nutrient for plant growth. If it is dissolved in water, the nitrogen in form of ammonium will be absorbed into the root system of plants.
